2024 Green River Clean Up

On a bright, sunny day in Dutch John, something remarkable happened. Over 100 volunteers gathered for the Fish For Garbage & GROGA (Green River Outfitters & Guides Association) Green River Cleanup, working together to restore the riverbanks and the rest of the area to their natural beauty, free of trash and debris. It was a day filled with hard work, community spirit, and a shared passion for protecting our environment.

First and foremost, we want to extend a massive thank you to the incredible volunteers who joined us for this important event. Your dedication, enthusiasm, and hard work made this cleanup a resounding success. Whether you were out on the water in your boat, scouring the banks on foot, or walking the streets, your efforts did not go unnoticed. It's because of you that the Green River remains a thriving haven for wildlife and a cherished spot for outdoor enthusiasts.

This event wouldn't have been possible without the support of some fantastic organizations and sponsors. A special thank you goes out to Back Country Hunters and Anglers of Utah for providing a delicious, free BBQ that fueled our hardworking volunteers. We also want to thank Uinta Brewery for supplying the refreshing beverages. Your generosity added a special touch to the event, making it even more enjoyable for everyone involved. And, of course, a big shoutout to Grundéns for providing the grand prize for our raffle. Your continued support helps us motivate and reward our volunteers, and we are incredibly grateful for your contribution.

We also want to extend our gratitude to our amazing sponsors who provided additional prizes, shuttle rides, and other forms of support that were crucial to the success of this event. Your contributions made the logistics of the day run smoothly and added an extra layer of excitement for everyone who participated. Your commitment to environmental stewardship and community engagement is truly inspiring.

As the day came to a close, something truly magical happened. A double rainbow arched over as if nature itself was saying thank you. It was a moment of beauty and reflection, reminding us all of why we do what we do. Together, we made a difference, and together, we will continue to protect and preserve the places we love.

The Green River Cleanup was more than just an event; it was a demonstration of what can be achieved when a community comes together for a common cause. We are already looking forward to next year’s cleanup and hope to see even more volunteers joining us in our mission to keep our rivers and lakes clean.

Thank you once again to everyone who participated, supported, and cheered us on. Let’s continue to work together to protect our natural treasures!
